Located on Camp Kweebec’s 200+ acres in Schwenksville, Pennsylvania, Summer L.I.F.E. offers campers with special needs the opportunity to cultivate friendships within the context of traditional camp activities, such as fishing, swimming, boating, arts and crafts, sports and games, cooking and environmental education.

Transportation for the day camp is provided to and from our Malvern campus and the camp property in Schwenksville. Families also may choose to drop off and pick up their campers at Camp Kweebec daily.

Families of overnight campers are responsible for transportation to the camp property on Sundays. Families may choose to pick overnight campers up at the camp property or at our Malvern, Pennsylvania campus on Fridays.

Summer L.I.F.E. offers low camper-to-staff ratio, experienced camp staff, ongoing behavior support, structured daily programming, engaging activities and real world learning. Staff includes PA certified special education teachers, a full-time nurse and behavioral support specialists.

TURBO TUESDAY AND THURSDAY 4th – 8th grade
HCA’s Adventurers’ Camp kicks into high gear on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons! Each week a special project will expose our campers to a new skill and expand their horizons. One week they might be cooking for the homeless, the next week they might be learning Carpentry 101! No matter what, our goal is to make sure that they have fun.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Stone Mountain Adventures is a co-ed residential camp for 60 teenagers ages 12-16 located in the mountains of central Pennsylvania. We are a very active summer community and do a good job of getting campers excited about all aspects of camp from our adventure and sport activities to going roller skating to going white water rafting together as a group. As with many aspects of teenagers lives our camp is also a very social place and we work hard to model and encourage positive relationships, create community in an authentic way, stop cliques from developing, and take away many of the traditional pressures that teens feel in school. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our CIT (counselor in training) program is a learning and transition program for 13, 14 and 15 year-olds. CIT's are organized into groups of 15 boys or girls and get to experience the best of two world's at camp. The counselors for these groups are chosen for their mature, yet youthful, outlooks. A CIT day encompasses work experience, bunk activities including lunch and swimming, as well as sport and recreational periods. CIT's work with both specialist and bunks developing leadership and organizational skills. Daily bunk-time activities include co-ed games, group meetings and discussions, swim and water games, as well as, other recreational opportunities. As the oldest campers, CIT's are rewarded with day trips and after-hours activities supervised by their counselors, division leaders and other staff.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Mahaffey Camp offers a variety of programs, from summer youth camps and family camp to year-long retreats and events. Our mission is "to reach others with the Gospel and teach them about the Lord." Mahaffey Camp aims to be "A Christian Center for Spiritual Growth." CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Those who wish to be considered as Counselors or Jr. Counselors should contact the camp office promptly, as available positions fill up quickly. Counselors and Jr. Counselors are required to attend a mandatory Counselor Training weekend, held at the end of May or beginning of June. Teen Counselors and Jr. Counselors are expected to attend a youth camp of their own age group.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Mahaffey Family Camp takes place during the last full week of July every year; in 2018, the dates are July 20 through 29. Events and services are offered for all age groups throughout the 10 days. Special events include a 5k race, Motorcycle Rally, Missionary Rally, Women's Day, Children's Penny Parade, Baptismal Service, and Gospel Concert. The camp store and Dining Hall are open for meals every day, and the craft store (selling merchandise and handmade crafts to benefit camp) is open daily. Dorm Accommodations are available, as well as RV and tent sites. Different types of services are offered, including Adult morning and evening services, prayer and healing services, Teen morning and evening services, Children's ministries, and Fresh Breeze afternoon service.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Youth Camps are held in the summer, while many retreats are held throughout the rest of the year. Mahaffey offers a variety of different retreats and events, including Applefest, Quilt Retreats, Scrapbook Retreats, Men's Link, Prayer Retreat, Mother / Daughter Retreat, REPLENISH (youth winter retreat), and private horsemanship lessons. CAMP FACILITIES: Conshatawba is a Resident Camp that specializes in The Arts and Adventure. We have a ceramics and pottery program, arts and craft building, theater stage,pool, climbing rock wall and zip line, low ropes course, archery field and numerous sports fields. Conshatawba has beautiful lodges, platform tents, and cabins for lodging.Girls attend themed weeks of camp throughout the summer with this year's most popular sessions being a Percy Jackson session and a Hunger Games themed session. Conshatawba offers resident camping for girls ages 8-17 as well as family sessions.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Conshatawba has adventure programming specializing in backpacking trips. Conshatawba offers a 4 sided climbing tower and zipline. Conshatawba also focuses on the arts with an indoor theater and arts studio.

Our camps are staffed with activity specialists, a cook, a health supervisor and specialty staff for adventure programs. Staff members are carefully selected for their skills as well as how they work with children and adults. They participate in weeklong training sessions where they earn appropriate certifications. Camp Conshatawba offers programming for Girl Scouts to build girls of confidence, courage and character.

Camp Fit & Fun’s goal is to provide children with an exciting, diversified and wholesome camping experience. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Camp Lindenmere’s Leadership Training Program is carefully designed to teach participants both life and camp related skills. The LT’s will participate in all of the traditional Lindenmere camp activities, and will often experience many of these activities in a leadership role.

The program is fun, dynamic and creative while offering the LT’s more freedom and responsibility than other campers. The LT’s have the opportunity to participate in regular camp activities as well as experiential learning activities designed to teach life skills.

As the oldest campers, the LT’s are considered the foundation of the Lindenmere experience. Each participant is considered a valuable part of our community and is eligible to become our future staff and leaders.

OTHER CAMP INFO: How many people in each bunk?
Each bunk houses 8-12 campers with two to three counselors. The cabins are equipped with modern conveniences such as full bath facilities, including hot and cold running water, ample electrical outlets and storage space for clothing.

When do the campers pick their activities?
Majors are chosen before campers arrive at camp. The three minors are chosen at breakfast each morning and may vary from day to day.

Do campers ever get turned away from an activity they choose?
Never. A full time program director spends the day working with each child's schedule.

How many people in each activity?
Sometimes a child chooses a private lesson which is one-on-one with an instructor. Most activities have between eight to twelve children.

How does the laundry work?
Every camper's laundry is done with an outside service and is collected on Friday and returned to the campers on Sunday. The laundry for each cabin is kept together and the children sort their laundry with the aid of their counselors upon its return.

Do you have a doctor in camp?
We have a doctor and three registered nurses during each session. Our infirmary is staffed twenty four hours per day.

Are campers put into bunks by age or grade?
Campers are usually grouped in cabins by grade. Sometimes parents will request a placement by age. If your child wants to bunk with friends, we almost always are able to work it out.
Any out of camp trips?

Children leave camp to compete in intercamp games or special events such as a day trip to Camelbeach, Dorney Park, whitewater rafting, ice skating, bowling, minor league baseball games.

Do campers need extra money?
Canteen is provided free of charge each day. A small amount of spending money is recommended for other incidentals.

Where do campers come from?
All over. We have large groups of children from the New York metropolitan area, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington, Florida, and California, but don't be surprised if you have a bunk mate from London, Paris, Madrid or Singapore.
